Pfizer reports Q4 net profit at Rs 42.68 crore

Drug firm Pfizer today reported a standalone net profit of Rs 42.68 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 56.03 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Pfizer said in a filing to the BSE.
Standalone total income of the company stood at Rs 463.10 crore for the quarter under consideration. It was Rs 274.48 crore for the same period a year ago.
"The results for the current quarter and year ended March 31, 2015 are not comparable with that of the corresponding quarter and year ended March 31, 2014," Pfizer said.
"The figures reported for the quarter ended March 31, 2105, preceding quarter ended December 31, 2014 and year ended March 31, 2105 are after giving effect to the Scheme (scheme of amalgamation between the company and Wyeth Ltd).
"The comparative figures reported for the quarter and audited results for the year ended March 31, 2014 does not include the effect of the scheme, it added.
Net profit of the company for the year ended March 31, 2015 stood at Rs 69.82 crore. It was Rs 220.85 crore for the year ago period.
Total income of the company for the year ended March 31, 2015 was at Rs 1,853.31 crore. It was Rs 1,111.80 crore for the previous fiscal year.
In another filing to the BSE, Pfizer said its Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of 125 per cent (Rs 12.50 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the year ended March 31, 2015.
Pfizer shares closed 2.50 per cent up at Rs 2,246 per scrip on the BSE.
