Philips Home Care eyes opportunity in cardiac monitoring

Philips Home Care Business, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Philips India, today said it is evaluating opportunities in the cardiac monitoring space.
"Home health care is a service that we are offering for respiratory ailments. We are now looking at step-down critical care. We want to first stabilise these two. Then we will see in cardiac monitoring space, we want to provide monitoring of basic parameters," Philips India Head of Strategy and Direct 2 Patient Businesses Priyank Agarwal said.
The company started its operations eight months back with a focus on delivering both devices and medical services at the consumers' household.
It has established its presence in six cities and has tied-up with 80 doctors.

Media agency Starcom today said it has won the media mandate of Luminous Power Technologies following a multi-agency pitch.
"We will use the power of integrated communications, analytics and the best of our tools, talent and thinking to make a real difference to the brand," Starcom India Group CEO Mallikarjun Das said in a statement.
On awarding the mandate to Starcom, which is part of the Publicis Media India, Luminous Power Technologies Managing Director Vipul Sabharwal said, "this is a highly competitive category, and we wanted a partner that truly understands our consumers, across regional markets and media touch-points, as we embark on our expansion plans.
