Pickup truck falls into ravine in Pak, 5 killed, 13 injured

Five people were killed and 13 others injured when a pickup truck veered off the road and plunged into a ravine in the mountainous region of north west Pakistan, police said today.

The accident occurred yesterday at Sharono Hill in Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa when driver lost control over the vehicle which fell into the ravine, they said.

Police pulled out the bodies and injured with the help of local people.

The injured were rushed to a hospital in Alpuri, while some of them, in critical condition, were taken to a hospital in Swat, the police said.
