The company had reported a net profit of Rs 160.99 crore in the April-June quarter of previous fiscal.
Pidilite Industries' consolidated net sales during the quarter under review increased by 19.60% to Rs 1,338.1 crore as against Rs 1,118.81 crore in the corresponding period last year, the company said in a filing with BSE.

In a separate filing to the BSE, Pidilite Industries said Meera Shankar has been appointed as an additional director of the company with effect from July 30, 2014.
Shares of Pidilite Industries today closed at Rs 359.95 apiece on the BSE, down 1.26% from their previous close.
