The teams are: Bangaluru Bulls (Bangalore), Jaipur Pink Panthers, Bengal Warriors (Kolkata), Puneri Paltan (Pune), Telugu Titans (Vishakapatnam), U Mumba (Mumbai) and yet-to-be-named outfits representing Patna (inducted instead of Chennai as announced earlier) and Delhi.
The eight participating teams have been given an equal purse of Rs 60 lakh for Category A and B Players.
The players been divided into three categories - A, B and C - by the Kabaddi Federation of India based on prior records and performances.
The twelfth and final player on the team will be chosen by the franchise as a 'State Wild Card' from a list provided by the association, said the release.
The league, to be held from July 26-August 31, is being organised by Mashal sports with the blessings of the International Kabaddi Federation and the Kabaddi Federation of India.
