"Kachchap, who carried a reward of Rs two lakh on his head and involved in about 39 cases, was arrested after a gun battle yesterday," Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar told reporters here.
One AK 47 rifle, about hundred bullets of the weapon and other materials were seized from him, the top cop said, adding 15 among the cases he faced were murder-related.
His younger brother, Paulus, and one of their associates were also arrested and produced before the court, which sent him to jail during the day.
