President Hamid also hosted a lunch in Prime Minister Modi's honour with Premier Sheikh Hasina also present.
Besides the call-on, Modi also met a host of leaders from across the political and business spectrum.
Leader of the Opposition Begum Raushan Ershad called on Modi while he also met with Presidents of leading Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Bangladesh to strengthen business links between the two countries.
