PM, party leaders pay tribute to Deendayal Updhayay

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP chief Amit Shah today paid tributes to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay on his death anniversary even as many party leaders paid floral tributes to him at the party headquarters.
"Remembering Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his Punya Tithi. His ideals of Antyodaya & Integral Humanism remain a guiding force for us," Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted.
"I bow to our revered ideologue Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya ji on his remembrance day," BJP President Amit Shah tweeted.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh also said he highlighted the need for synergy between material and spiritual development of the individual and society for peace and prosperity.
"Tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on his punyatithi. His philosophy of 'Ekatma Manavvad' is key to economic well-being of our society," he tweeted.
At the party office here, BJP general secretary Ram Lal and other leaders like Bhupender Yadav and Shyam Jaju among others paid floral tributes before his picture at a function to remember him.
BJP General Secretary P Murlidhar Rao said he was the man who built Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS) which is the source for present day BJP's ideology and organisational foundation.
"Tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji who expounded Integral Humanism as an alternate to Capitalism and Communism," he said.
