Police Commsssioner instructs DCPs to curb street crimes

Delhi PoliceCommissioner Alok Verna has instructed senior police officers to curb the spurt in the cases of street crimein the national capital.
Chairing a crime review meeting of DCPs of the 11 police districts, Kumar asked the officials to focus on controlling street crime and make suitable security arrangements for the coming festivals, sources said.
The DCPs have been instructedto curb the increasing incidents of street crimes.
There has been a spurt in cases of snatchings and the Commissioner asked the officers to strengthen security in their districts,the sources said.
With Janmasthami around the corner,the commissioner also askedthe officers to conduct anti-sabotage checks to check the preparedness of the force.
The DCPs will start planning mock drills from the coming week, sources added.
