Police foil Cong workers' bid to set them on fire

Three suspected Congress activists tried to set themselves on fire demanding Lok Sabha ticket for their leader Bommana Subba Rayudu here today, police said.
The workers have suffered minor injuries and shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, they said.
Sources said the party workers were against the candidature of Ajay Kumar Veena, former CPI leader, from the Kadapa seat.
Subba Rayudu is a member of the Pradesh Congress Committee and is belived to be close to district unit Congress president Makam Ashok.
