Security forces today nabbed two youths, who were allegedly going to cross the Line of Control (LoC) for weapons training, from Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, a police spokesman said.
Based on specific information, the police cordoned and launched a search operation in the Manigah Hyhama area of Kupwara, he said .
"During the search, two youths were found moving suspiciously and were nabbed. They identified themselves as Danish Ghulam Lone and Suhail Ahmad, both from Pulwama in South Kashmir," the spokesman said.
He said that some incriminating documents, including the map of areas along the LoC and some posters of a Hizbul Mujahideen outfit, were seized from them.
"During the preliminary interrogations, they disclosed that they were motivated by a active Hizb terrorist, Adnan, who operates in the Pulwama and the Awantipora areas, for joining the militant outfit's ranks and go to Pakistan- occupied Kashmir (PoK) for arms training," he said.
They also said that Adnan had asked them to visit the Central Jail in Srinagar and meet a Hizb cadre Ishaq Paul of Shopian, a militant under detention, the spokesman claimed.
