Police raid prison, recover ganja, mobile phones

Police today raided the district prison here and seized several mobile phones and ganja (cannabis) from the inmates, police sources said.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of City Police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar.
Besides 29 mobile phones and ganja, 12 SIM cards and some lethal weapons including knives, metal punch and iron rods were also seized, police sources said.
Sources also said the prisoners were suspected to be using the internet through WiFi facility.
