A Noida-based trader, Mulk Raj, was robbed of his car at gunpoint last evening near Chitoda Jhal under Sikreda police station while he was going to Roorkee from Noida, SSP KB Singh said today.
Police arrived at the scene after being informed by the trader and created blockades forcing the accused to abandon the car and hide in sugarcane fields, Singh said.
Suman was arrested while another accused Ankit managed to escape.
Sub-Inspector Rakesh was injured in firing by the robbers.
