The police today arrested a smuggler and seized 26 kg of opium from his possession in Churachandpur district, a police officer said.
Superintendent of Police, K Kabib said acting on a tip-off police caught hold of the smuggler at Thingkangphai area of the district and seized 26 kg of raw opium from his possession.
The seized contraband is valued around Rs 36 lakh in the international market, police said.
