Police station officer in-charge shoots himself dead

Officer in-charge of Rajapur police station in Bihar's Buxar district allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver in wee hours today, a senior district police officer said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar said the OC Sushil Kumar Yadav shot himself with his serice revolver near his ear in his residence within the police station campus.
He was immediately rushed to the sadar hospital by his colleagues where doctors declared him dead, the DSP said.
After getting information district magistrate (DM) and other high officials visited the spot.
Though the exact reason why the police officer (40) took the extreme step would come only after a probe by a team constituted by the DM, he was stated to be in job related stress for past some days.
