Deputy Superintendent of police Manish Mishra said, the incident happend last night when Sub Inspector Kapil Chowdhary and Constable Kapil Sharma were watching a movie.
There was an altercation between the policemen and Afzal Malik, who claimed to be the relative of Samajwadi party leader Rashid Malik, inside the theatre.
He was hit by the policemen after the altercation.
An FIR was immediately lodged by Malik's father under section 307, 323 and 506 IPC. Police took action on the two policemen after this.
