Around 20 companies from the central European nation have confirmed their participations in the four-day event, starting from February 13, on international mining, exploration and mineral processing, the Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI), which is organising the event, said in a release today.
Poland is fast emerging as a big investment destination for Indian mining and metal companies. A Rs 3,500 crore deal involving International Coal Ventures Ltd (ICVL) for a coking coal mine acquisition is likely soon.
The biennial event provides a forum for miners, planners and policy makers to discuss various issues affecting the mining industry in the Asian region in particular.
"The conference will be the ideal platform for displaying and launching new initiatives in the mining sector, as well as showcasing products and technologies, establishing joint ventures, developing and renewing international and regional contacts," T K Lahiry, President MGMI and CMD of Bharat Coking Coal, said.
