A clash between activists of two political parties and cases of recovery of cash allegedly meant for voters were reported from the metropolis, police said.
A stone was thrown by a suspected MNS worker at the car of Geeta Gawli, daughter of former gangster Arun Gawli, near a polling booth. Geeta, who is contesting from Byculla on Akhil Bharatiya Sena ticket, was not in the car, whose rear window was broken, they said.
Tension prevailed briefly when Akhil Bharatiya Sena activists objected to MNS workers sporting the latter party's caps at Byculla.
In another case, a Congress worker, Niloba Sarode, was found distributing cash to voters in suburban Chembur.
A non-cognisable offence was registered against him and Rs 31,500 confiscated, police said.
