Poonch chief education officer booked in transfer scam case

The chief education officer of Poonch district has been booked by the State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) for allegedly facilitating transfer of teachers for pecuniary benefits since June this year.
A case has been registered against Mohammad Arif Malik, the chief education officer of that district, and his office at Poonch and residence in Rajouri were simultaneously raided with the help of the local police, an SVO spokesperson said.
During the raids, all relevant documents were seized which will be scrutinised in depth, the spokesperson said.
