"Chairman, Wipro Shri Azim Premji called on the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, here today," an official statement from Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said.
The statement did not mention more details about the meeting.
Modi has been meeting business leaders regarding initiatives such as 'Digital India' and 'Make in India'.
A few days back Softbank Chairman and CEO Masayoshi Son also met the Prime Minister and committed investment to the tune of USD 10 billion in India.
Facebook co-founder and one of the world's youngest billionaires Mark Zuckerberg had also met Modi to discuss digital expansion in the country.
