Puri, a 2006-batch IAS officer of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa- Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre, has been appointed for a period of five years or for duration coterminous with the tenure of the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and Drinking Water and Sanitation, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said in the order.
Her appointment is effective from November 11, it said.
Meanwhile, Pankaj Kumar Mehta, a 1999-batch Madhya Pradesh civil service officer, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty to Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaawar Chand Gehlot.
Ponnuraj and Sinha were appointed as PS to the ministers when they held different portfolios.
