President Pranab Mukherjee today visited Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple at Yadagirigutta in Telangana's Nalgonda district and offered prayers.
The president was in the temple for about 30 minutes where he offered prayers to Lord Lakshminarasimha Swamy. He later left from there for Hyderabad.
Governor E S L Narasimhan and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao accompanied the president to the hill shrine.
Elaborate security arrangements were made with deployment of security forces in a 6-km radius around the shrine.
The President arrived in Hyderabad on June 29 for a customary southern sojourn and is staying at Rashtrapati Nilayam, one of the Presidential Retreats here.
