"About 80 officials, who had come to participate in Asia Pacific Conference of Correctional Administrators (APCCA), visited Tihar jail and saw various activities," jail spokesperson Sunil Gupta said.
The delegates witnessed the prison's Visitor Management System which enables the meeting of visitors with inmates, drug de-addiction and education programmes, female jail and the jail factory.
"They were impressed with the functioning of the prison and some of them vowed to replicate the activities in the jails of their country," Gupta said.
The theme of this year's conference is correction, transformation and re-integration for focusing on improvement of custodial management of inmates through welfare programmes for their re-integration in the society.
During their visit, a cultural programme, which included a fashion show, was also organised in Jail No 2.
