Shahid, 34, who was once rumoured to be dating the "Quantico" star, said the actress has made the country proud with her success in Hollywood.
"We all are very proud of Priyanka. We are so happy to see her taking India on the international platform. She always had the potential to be an international star and she is doing really well," Shahid said here at the Zee Cine Awards 2016 press conference today.
"@priyankachopra in top form. And above all sanjay leela bhansali," he wrote.
The actors are said to have dated briefly after working on Vishal Bhardwaj's "Kaminey".
