Priyanka, Lakshit begin well in Bangkok event

Indian girls Priyanka Pareek and Lakshit Narang began well by winning both their group matches in the SET 2017 Thailand Junior & Cadet Open Table Tennis tournament in Bangkok today.
In junior girls' group six league matches, Priyanka defeated Xin Ru Wong (SGP) 3-2 and later blanked Chanokpron Hongsripan (THA) 3-0 to occupy the top position in the group, according to information received here.
In the cadet girls' group five league, Lakshita also had a great day by scoring fluent wins against Acraporn Doungjan (THA) and Sarvinoz Mirkadirova (KAZ) by identical 3-1 margins to grab pole position in the group in the ITTF World Junior Circuit Golden Series tournament.

Junior girls (group stage): Kushi Vishwanath (IND) lost to Wing Sze Chau (HKG) 0-3; Priyanka Pareek (IND) bt Xin Ru Wong (SGP) 3-2; Priyanka Pareek (IND) bt Chanokpron Hongsripan (THA) 3-0; Manushree Patil (IND) bt Lin Jassy Tan (SGP) 3-2; Anjali Rohilla (IND) lost to Jinnipa Sawettabut (THA) 0-3.
Cadet girls (group stage): Lakshit Narang (IND) bt Acraporn Doungjan (THA) bt 3-1; Gayatri Swaminathan (IND) bt Moa Elmtoft (SWE) 3-1; Lakshit Narang (IND) bt Sarvinoz Mirkadirova (KAZ) 3-1; Gayatri Swaminathan (IND) bt Jia Qi Koh (SGP) 3-0.
