Probe ordered against former minister

A Vigilance Court today ordered a probe against former Congress minister K C Joseph, an MLA, in a petition complaining that he had amassed assets more than known source of income.
Thallassery Vigilance Court ordered the authorities to register a case against him on a petition that Joseph, during his tenure as Minister in the previous Congress-led UDF government, had amassed income more than known source of his income.
The petition was filed by one K K Sahji of the Irikkur Assembly constituency from where Joseph won this time.
It was pointed out that the assets details filed by Joseph during 2011 polls and in 2016 has shown a huge increase.
The court directed the Vigilance Kozhikode unit to file report by July 16.
