Proclaimed Offender drug peddler nabbed after 15 years
Press Trust of India Pathankot The local police have arrested a drug peddler and Proclaimed offender (PO) who was residing at Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir by concealing his identity, nearly 15 years after he jumped bail in a case.
The accused, Abdul Majid, was booked here in 1998 for allegedly possessing 350 grams of charas, police said.
He had been released on bail and was facing trial. Majid jumped bail and was declared Proclaimed Offended by a court here on June 12, 2001, they said.
