The conference has been organized by Hindi Kashmiri Sangam (HKS) in the premises of Zestha Mata Temple, an official spokesman said.
Vohra said the interactions among writers in various languages and the promotion of literature and ideas contributes to introducing greater understandings and harmonious relations between different communities and cultures, as well as the enrichment of society as a whole.
The Governor complimented Chaman Lal Sapru, president HKS and Beena Budki, secretary HKS, for their continuing efforts and contribution towards the enrichment of literature through the promotion of various languages.
He particularly complimented authors who had come from as far away as Karnataka for their continuing efforts to popularise works in Kashmiri.
The HKS honoured the Governor with "Kalhan Smriti Desh Ratan Samman" for his contributions towards the State.
