The march - 'Akrosh morcha' saw participation of members of the Banjara community, people belonging to ST/SC categories and RPI workers. The march was led by RPI leader and MLA Jogendra Kawade and MLA Haribhau Rathod.
The protesters demanded stern action against the accused who allegedly raped the girl. They also demanded amendments in the SC and the ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, a police official said.
The march which began from Nandur Naka locality concluded at the Revenue commissioner office, police said, adding no untoward incident was reported.
The accused, identified as Sachin Hiraman Patil (34), a resident of Nandur Naka on Nashik-Aurangabad road, was for the crime that took place on September 15, they said.
