A decision to this effect was taken at a cabinet meeting, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy told reporters here tonight.
Workers and staff in the state government owned public sector undertakings and cooperative institutions would be paid Rs 11,000as bonus while daily wage workers in departments would be paid Rs 1,200, he said.
The Chief Minister said consequent to implementation of Goods and Services Tax there was a fall in revenue by Rs 40 crores a month and the Central government had agreed to compensate the loss.
