Marketmen said besides tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing regions against rising demand from retailers mainly pushed up urad and other pulses prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local went up by Rs 200 each to Rs 10,800-12,000 and Rs 10,900-11,000 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 11,000-11,500 and Rs 11,400-11,700 per quintal, respectively.
Masoor small and bold also gained Rs 100 each to Rs 5,850-6,150 and Rs 5,900-6,200 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 6,400-6,900 and Rs 6,500-7,000 per quintal respectively.
Malka local and best quality enquired higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,000-7,300 and Rs 7,100-7,400 per quintal.
Arhar and its dal dara variety traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 8,800 and Rs 11,700-13,400 per quintal, respectively.
In line with overall trend, gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,000-6,500, Rs 6,300-6,600 and Rs 6,750-6,850 per quintal respectively.
Kabli gram small variety and lobia rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,100-8,600 and Rs 5,200-5,400 per quintal respectively.
Besign Shaktibhog and Rajdhani were quoted higher Rs 2,850 each instead of Rs 2,800 each per 35 kg bag.
