"Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board has invited applications from the interested home or farm house owners for this Bed and Breakfast and farm-tourism scheme," an official spokesman of the state tourism department said.
He said the registration of farm houses will be done in those cases where such places are fully-developed and worth living and visiting.
A high-level committee will be formed by the board to inspect such sites, he added.
The scheme would be a source of additional income for those who have adequate living area, meeting the required standard, said the spokesman, adding that the scheme would be applicable only for the owners who themselves were staying within the same premises.
