Punjab, Haryana remains under grip of heat wave

In Haryana, Hisar recorded a high of 43.6 deg C, up three degrees while Bhiwani's high settled at 42.6 deg C, the MeT said here.

Intense heat prevailed in Rohtak, where the maximum settled at 43.5 deg C, three degrees above normal. Ambala also had a hot day at 42.5 deg C, up four notches.

Amritsar in Punjab was hotter by three degrees than normal limits at 43.4 deg C.

Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximums of 43.5 deg C and 42.7 deg C respectively, up four notches each.

For the residents of Chandigarh, it was yet another hot day at 41.4 deg C, up by two degrees.

Heat wave conditions will continue to prevail in most places in the region tomorrow as well, the MeT forecast.
