A case has been registered against unidentified persons for allegedly threatening Rahul Sharma who had alleged a "scam" in the Public Works Department (PWD) involving a relative of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, police said today.
Sharma had on May 11 filed a complaint about receiving a phone call asking him not to get involved in "social service".
He had given a complaint to the Parliament Street police station and a case of criminal intimidation was registered on June 3, police said.
He had alleged that he had received the call while he was on his way after having a meeting with Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) chief Mukesh Meena.
On May 31, two unidentified persons had attempted to open fire at Sharma's car in Greater Noida but he escaped unhurt.
The ACB had registered three separate FIRs in connection with the alleged scam, including one against a company owned by Kejriwal's late brother-in-law Surender Kumar Bansal on the complaint of Sharma, who is the founder of an NGO RACO.
Sharma had alleged that Bansal's firm was involved in financial irregularities in connection with the construction of a drainage system in north-west Delhi's Bakoli village, the contract of which was awarded to it in April, 2015.
