"Rahul's comment exposes his ignorance of reality. The country was reeling under corruption during the Congress rule. Modi is placing it on a path to progress," the Minister of State for Labour and Employment said.
"Modi is running a corruption-free government and he has set it on the path to progress. This is the truth and Rahul is unable to understand it.
"He must read and understand one line, which is inscribed on the national symbol, 'Satyamev Jayate' (truth alone triumphs)," Dattatreya said.
Rahul had on Friday tweeted a prayer for Modi which asked for freedom from ignorance, a day after the PM said BJP suffered more adversities in independent India than Congress did during the British rule.
