Railways, Tamil Nadu win 3x3 national basketball championship
Press Trust of India New Delhi Indian Railways women beat Delhi to win the inaugural 3x3 national basketball championship while their male counterparts were beaten by Tamil Nadu in a close final, here today.
Railways women recorded a convincing 21-12 win over Delhi in the finals played at the Thyagaraj stadium.
Maharashtra women defeated Punjab 19-10 to finish third in the competition.
In the men's final, Tamil Nadu registered an extra-time win over Railways (22-20) after both two teams were tied at 20 each at the end of 10 minutes.
Uttrakhand finished third by beating Kerala 21-13.

Women (Final): Railways (Manisha Dange 8, Geethu Anna Jose 7, P Anitha 6) bt Delhi (Raspreet Sidhu 7, Prashanti Singh 4) 21-12
Third place: Maharashtra (Shireen Limaye 7) bt Punjab (Kiranjeet Kaur 5) 19-10.
