Rains continue in UP

Moderate to heavy rains or
thundershowers occurred at several parts of Uttar Pradesh today.
According to the MeT department, Bhatpurwaghat recorded 13-cm of rainfall, Bani 10-cm, Mirzapur 9-cm, Handia, Mirzapur and Purwa 7-cm each, and Rai Bareli and Jhansi 6-cm each.
Chatnag, Sant Ravidasnagar, Rajghat, Bareilly and Mahroni received 5-cm of rainfall each since last evening, followed by Allahabad 4-cm, and Fatehgarh, Bilgram, Lucknow, Amethi, Sitapur and Lalitpur 3-cm each.
According to a MeT forecast, rain or thundershowers would occur at many places over the state in the next 24 hours. It also warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.
