According to MeT department the national capital received 15.7 mm of rain from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Earlier, the rain gauges had measured 0.6 mm of rainfall from 8:30 AM yesterday to 8:30 AM this morning.
It said the city will continue to receive rainfall for next couple of days.
"Delhi received a total of 25.1 mm of rainfall in the last three days," the MeT office said.
The now predictable problem of water logging in monsoon led to traffic jams in several parts of the city, including major intersections such as ITO, Laxmi Nagar, Kashmere Gate, South Extension, Aashram Chowk, Moolchand Underpass, Nehru Place, Dhaula Kuan etc.
Vehicular movement remained slow in India Gate, Rafi Marg, Kalkaji, Jangpura, Mehrauli, Mahipalpur and Janakpuri among other places due to rains and subsequent water-logging.
The showers also pulled down mercury which settled at 30.8 degree Celsius which was three degrees below normal and nominally higher than yesterday's 30.6 degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature was registered at 25.8 deg C, which was one notch below normal and slightly up from previous day's 25.3 deg C. The humidity level hovered between 81 and 92 per cent.
