Chandigarh recorded maximum temperature at 31.3 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal while it received 48 mm of rainfall, MeT department said.
In Haryana, Hisar's maximum temperature was 30.6 degrees Celsius, six notches below normal and the city received 44.4 mm of rainfall.
Ambala, Karnal and Narnaul recorded maximum temperatures of 31.7, 31 and 32 degrees Celsius respectively. Karnal received 28 mm of rainfall.
In Punjab, mercury in Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 34.8, 31.7 and 31.4 degrees Celsius respectively, up to two notches below normal. Ludhiana city received 34 mm of rains.
