According to Centre Water Commission (CWC), rainfall recorded in Kanpur was 28.2 mm, Raebareli 40.8mm, Mirzapur 27.2 mm, Auraiya 33.6 mm and Kalpi 36 mm due to which water levels in rivers have started rising.
While the water level of Ganga is rising in Kanpur, Dalmau(Raebareli), Varanasi and Shahjahanpur that of Yamuna is rising in Agra, Auraiya, Kalpi and Hamirpur. The water level of Gomti is rising in Neemsar and Jaunpur and Sharda is flowing above danger mark in Palliakalan (Kheri).
Similarly, the water level in Ghagra river is rising in Elgin Bridge (Barbanki) and Ayodhya (Faizabad).
