Overcast skies persisted through out the day even as strong winds swept the region. Rains and thunderstorms further led to a drop in day temperatures.
Bhuntar in Kullu district recorded highest rainfall (12 mm), followed by Manali (10 mm), Bajaura (7mm), Solan (5 mm), Nahan, Kumarsain and Seobagh (4 mm), Kotkhai and Bijahi (3 mm) and Kalpa (2 mm).
The maximum temperatures dropped by 5 to 6 degrees.
Una was the hottest during the day with a high of 25.8 degrees, followed by Kangra (21 deg), Sundernagar (19.9 deg), Dharamshala (19.8 deg), Nahan (19 deg), Bhuntar (16.5 deg), Solan (15 deg), Manali and Kalpa (11.6 deg) each and Shimla (11.1 deg C).
The local MeT station has predicted rains and thunderstorm at many places tomorrow.
