Raj chief secy, senior officials appear before speaker over delay in tabling annual reports

Rajasthan Chief Secretary N C Goel and other senior administrative officials today appeared before Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal to give explanation and present the state of matter for delay in tabling annual reports of various departments during the Budget session of the House.

State parliamentary affairs minister Rajendra Rathore said the officers assured the speaker that annual reports will be tabled on time in the future, while Meghwal told them that the incident should not be repeated.

During the Budget session, Deputy Speaker Rao Rajendra Singh had directed officials of over 70 departments to apologise before the chair in writing for delay in tabling annual reports in the House.

Later, BJP MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari had also raised the matter saying that state government officials have put dignity of the Assembly at stake due to delay in tabling annual reports in the House.

To this, state parliamentary affairs minister Rajendra Rathore had said that the officials concerned will personally give explanation before the chair and present the state of matter.
