Rajasthan government has set a target of bringing investments worth Rs 5 lakh crore through 'Resurgent Rajasthan' programme in November this year.
Industries Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar said the government will make efforts to sign MoU worth Rs five lakh crore with industries during the event.
Replying to a debate on demands for grants (department of industries) in the Assembly, the Minister said that the government was focusing on making a land bank so that industries could be allotted lands easily and instantly to set up their units.
The government at present has a land bank of 3500 hectare and wants to extend it up to 8000 hectare, he said.
He also informed that work for Delhi Mumbai Industrial corridor was going on and the first phase will be completed by 2017.
On the other hand, during debate on demand for grants (Mines), the House witnessed uproarious scene when Congress MLAs raised the issue of alleged irregularities in mines allotment.
MLA Ramesh Meena said that the government's decision to allot mines to certain groups has caused huge loss to the exchequer.
Congress Whip Govind Singh demanded a judicial probe into the matter. Other Congress mlas also raised the issue and tried to corner the government.
BJP MLAs and ministers defended the government and accused Dotasar of insulting the Chairman.
The uproar continued for few minutes till the Chairman called the name of another member of the house to speak in the debate for the demand for grants (Mines).
