Raj received 3,281 encroachments complaints at national parks

As many as 3,281 complaints of encroachments in national parks and sanctuaries of Rajasthan have been received and action in 91 out of them has already been taken in 2012-13, the state government said today.
Replying to a question related to forest and environment department in legislative assembly, food and civil supplies minister Parsadi Lal Meena, however, said that there had been no complaint regarding any commercial activity in the core area of Ranthambore.
He also assured the house that any hotel under Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation found to be running in core area of the Ranthambhore national park will be immediately closed down.
Meena was replying to a question regarding the number of complaints received by the government about illegal encroachments in national parks and sanctuaries in the state as the state forest minister Bina Kak was absent.
During zero hour, the main opposition party BJP staged a walk out over the issue of increasing number of swine flu deaths in the state.
Leader of opposition in state assembly, Gulab Chand Kataria, alleged that the government had failed in taking effective action to check the spread of swine flu in the state.
He claimed maximum deaths in the country due to the flu had occured in Rajasthan.
