Rajasthan in grip of heat wave

Heat wave remained unabated across Rajasthan with temperatures in Churu and Sriganganagar districts breaching 46 degree mark.
Despite light showers in Jodhpur and Kota districts there was no let up in heat, and Churu and Sriganganagar were the hottest places with 46.4 degree Celsius, meteorological department said.
Bikaner recorded a maximum of 44.3 deg C followed by Pilani 43 deg C, Jaisalmer 42 deg C, Barmer 41.8 deg C, and Jaipur 41.4 deg C.
No major change in the existing weather conditions is expected in the next 24 hours, the department said.
