Churu was the hottest place in the state as it recorded maximum temperature at 45 degrees Celsius, about 6 notches more than the normal level, a Meteorological department official said here.
Light to moderate rains occurred at isolated pockets over northern Rajasthan including Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer districts in the last 24 hours.
Srinagar recorded the maximum rainfall of 9 cm, Gogunda 6, Mandalgarh, Gangrar and Kushalgarh 4 cms each, Nasirabad, Banswara, Rawatbhata, Bhilwara and Pushkar 3 cms each, and one to 2 cms at a number of places in Ajmer and Kota divisions.
The Meteorological department has forecast rains in Jaipur and surrounding areas by night.
The monsoon will advance over rest of the state in the next 24 hours, Met said.
