Rajasthan under grip of cold wave

Rajasthan was under the grip of cold waves where Churu and Sriganganagar were recorded as the coldest places in the desert state with an identical minimum of 2.1 degrees Celsius.
The mercury yesterday had settled at a low of 0.9 deg Celsius in Churu, while in Sriganganagar mercury settled at 2.5 degree C.
According to the MeT Department, Jaisalmer recorded a minimum of 4.6 degrees Celsius whereas Bikaner, Pilani, Barmer, Chittorgarh, Kota, Jaipur and Ajmer recorded night temperature of 7.2, 7.5, 9, 10.7, 12, 12.2 and 12.3 degrees respectively.
