Accusing the Vasundhara Raje government of being non-serious towards crime against women, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today said it was disappointing that cases of atrocities on women were on the rise during the rule of a woman chief minister in the state.
Gehlot said, "35 cases of crime against women, including 11 cases of rape in the state capital, have happened in the last two months, but the government has not shown any seriousness in this regard."
"What is more disappointing is that cases of atrocities against women are on rise during the rule of a woman chief minister," Gehlot said in a statement here.
