Congress today attacked the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government in Rajasthan, saying it had achieved a "big zero" in every sector in its six months of rule.
"BJP government led by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has failed miserably as it could not start any new public welfare scheme in the last six months," former Congress MLA Pratap Singh Khachariawas said at a press conference here today.
Its achievement is a "big zero" in every sector, he said.
Khachariawas is also a senior leader of Jaipur Shahar Zila Congress Committee.
Khachariawas alleged that the law and order situation in the state is "crumbling" and people are feeling unsafe and insecure.
BJP government has failed to deliver what it promised in its election manifesto. BJP has failed to deliver on its promise of uninterrupted power supply. The supply has dropped further, leading to long hours of power cuts in small cities and villages, he claimed.
Raje government also failed to curtail inflation, Khachariawas said, adding that milk products were made costlier, roadways bus fare was hiked, fare concession to women and senior citizens in government buses was withdrawn and the scheme providing food grains to BPL families at Re 1/kg was stopped in the last six months.
Hike in power tariff is also on the cards for the state power companies, he claimed.
Alleging that the BJP government was busy only in reviewing the works of the previous Congress government, Khachariawas said it was time it disclosed facts of its own achievements in last six months.
On a question about Congress' total rout in Lok Sabha polls in the state after its humiliating defeat in the Assembly polls, he said, "BJP got 25 MPs, and how many of them got ministerial berth...Just one....Very poor representation...Of course the Congress lost the polls due to anti-incumbency factor of the UPA-II.
