Directed by Amit Masurkar, the movie is about rookie clerk on election duty in a conflict-ridden jungle of Central India, who tries his best to conduct free and fair voting.
Rao took to Twitter to announce the release date and share a new poster.
"He is coming. #Newton #SeedhaAadmiUltiDuniya," he captioned the photo.
The movie, which also stars Pankaj Tripathi and actress Anjali Patil in the lead role, had its world premiere at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival (also called Berlinale), and won the International Federation of Art Cinemas (CICAE) award in its Forum segment.
